1. Introduction
Apex Nursing Services welcomes members of the veteran community, including veterans, war widows, widowers, eligible family members and those helping a veteran arrange care support.
This DVA Information Disclaimer explains how Apex Nursing Services refers to DVA-related care information on our website, advertising materials, social media pages, printed materials and other public communications.
Apex Nursing Services is committed to providing clear, respectful and responsible information to the veteran community.
2. Approved DVA Wording
Apex Nursing Services uses the following wording when referring to the availability of services to DVA clients:
“We welcome DVA clients, DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral”
This wording is used to help communicate that Apex Nursing Services welcomes DVA clients while avoiding misleading or inappropriate advertising claims.
3. No Claim of Free Services
Apex Nursing Services does not advertise DVA-related care as free, complimentary, fully funded, no-fee, without fees, or similar.
Any access to services, referrals, payment arrangements or care pathways may depend on individual circumstances, clinical need, GP referral requirements, eligibility, approval processes and relevant DVA guidelines.
Nothing on our website or in our promotional materials should be understood as a guarantee that a service will be paid for, approved, funded or available through DVA.
4. No DVA Endorsement
Apex Nursing Services does not claim to be endorsed by DVA.
Apex Nursing Services does not claim to be DVA’s preferred provider, an employee of DVA, an agent of DVA, or officially representing DVA.
Any reference to DVA is made only to provide general information to members of the veteran community and to communicate the approved wording regarding DVA clients.
5. No Use of Government Logos or DVA Card Images
Apex Nursing Services does not use the Australian Government logo, DVA logos, DVA treatment card images, Gold Card images, White Card images, or designs intended to resemble DVA treatment cards without appropriate permission.
Any visual material used by Apex Nursing Services is intended to represent care, nursing support, home care, veteran-focused support and community service generally.
6. General Information Only
Information about DVA-related care pathways on the Apex Nursing Services website is provided for general information only.
It does not replace advice from DVA, a general practitioner, healthcare provider, referrer, assessor or other relevant professional.
Clients and families should seek appropriate advice about eligibility, referral requirements, clinical suitability, care pathway requirements and payment arrangements.
7. GP Referral Requirement
The approved wording used by Apex Nursing Services states:
“We welcome DVA clients, DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral”
This means that a GP referral may be required before certain care arrangements can proceed under DVA-related payment arrangements.
Apex Nursing Services may request relevant referral information, care details or supporting documentation before confirming a service.
8. Individual Circumstances May Vary
Every person’s care situation is different.
Service access, referral requirements, payment arrangements, clinical suitability and care availability may depend on factors such as:
The person’s health needs
The type of care required
